Mokelumne River
(HWY 99 access point) 🌿

Cosumnes River Preserve
(Galt, CA) 🦢

This 20-mile stretch north of Lodi is a nature lover’s paradise. The free-flowing river and wetlands make it perfect for birdwatching. Sandhill cranes, egrets, and migratory birds are common in fall. Launch areas are accessible, and it’s ideal for slower, reflective paddling.

Lake Camanche
(Valley Springs, CA) 🌊

A 30-mile day trip east (from Lodi) offers wide-open water and hidden coves. Perfect for kayaks, paddleboards, or canoes. Pack a picnic and enjoy a full-day adventure. Fewer crowds and cooler weather make fall the best season to explore Camanche.

Tower Park Marina on the Delta
(Walnut Grove, CA) 🌅

About 20 miles west of Lodi, the Delta is a paddler’s playground. Sloughs and channels create endless exploration opportunities. Some areas are calm; others connect to larger channels. Bring a GPS if you’re new — it’s easy to get pleasantly lost. Catch a Delta sunset to cap off your day. ✨
